Every Auto Repair Service You Need, Under One Roof — Diagnostic-First, Since 1957
Green's Garage is a full-service independent auto repair shop in Miami, family-owned and operating from the same building at 2221 SW 32nd Ave since 1957. Three generations of the same family have built one of South Florida's most trusted shops — not by being the cheapest or the biggest, but by doing the diagnostic work most shops skip. We use manufacturer-level scan tools on every make we service, we tell you the root cause before we quote a repair, and we put the findings in writing before you authorize a dollar of work.
We work on every make — Honda, Toyota, Ford, Ram, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Acura, MINI, Range Rover, Jeep, Subaru, Mazda, Volvo, and a dozen more — across A/C, brakes, engine, suspension, electrical, hybrid and EV, and scheduled maintenance. We also go deeper for five brands — Jeep, Land Rover, Subaru, Mazda, and Volvo — where we run the factory diagnostic platforms and the model-by-model failure-mode knowledge that only comes from servicing the same platforms for decades.

How We Work — The Diagnostic-First Methodology
Most Miami auto repair shops are parts replacers. They read a code, look up the most common cause, and replace the part. That works for clear-cut failures — but it fails badly when the real fault is upstream of the code. We do it differently. Every job at Green's runs through the same five-step process:
1. Symptom interview first. Before we plug anything in, we ask the driver to describe exactly when the problem happens, what it sounds like, what triggers it, and what's already been tried. Half of misdiagnoses happen because nobody asked the driver the right questions.
2. Manufacturer-level scan. We connect using the factory platform built for your vehicle, not a generic OBD-II reader. wiTECH 2 for Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, and Dodge. PATHFINDER for Land Rover, Range Rover, and Jaguar. Subaru Select Monitor (SSM-IV) for Subaru. Mazda's factory diagnostic platform for Mazda. VIDA for Volvo. HDS for Honda and Acura. Toyota Techstream for Toyota and Lexus. Manufacturer-level access for every other brand we service. This is the difference between reading P-codes and reading the full module map.
3. Targeted physical testing. Scan data points us toward a system; we confirm with the right physical test — compression, leak-down, fuel pressure, ignition output, smoke test for vacuum leaks, pressure tests for cooling systems, electrical load testing for charging concerns. We don't replace parts to "see if it fixes it."
4. Root cause, not symptom. A misfire code on cylinder 4 doesn't always mean cylinder 4's coil is bad. It might mean the injector harness is shorted, the timing chain tensioner is starved for oil pressure, or the ECM is throwing the code because of a separate sensor fault upstream. We separate the symptom from the cause before quoting a repair.
5. Written findings before any repair. You get the diagnosis in writing, with the recommended repair, the cost, and — when relevant — the lower-cost / mid / OE options. The diagnostic fee applies toward the repair if you authorize the work. Nothing is authorized without your approval.
That methodology is why our customers come back and why the dealer often refers complex cases to us when they're stumped.
Our Services
Automotive Diagnostics
Diagnostic work is where we separate ourselves from a parts-replacer shop. If you've already been somewhere else, paid for a repair, and the problem came back, this is where to start.
Diagnostic-First Approach → Our complete diagnostic methodology — manufacturer-level scan, targeted physical testing, root cause identification, written findings. Applied to every job at Green's, scoped to a single concern or a multi-system intake. Diagnostic fee applies toward the repair.
Second Opinion on Your Estimate → Already have an estimate from the dealer or another shop? Bring it in. We'll run a factory-level diagnostic, verify the root cause, and quote the actual repair at independent labor rates. The most common outcome: the original estimate had the wrong cause, the wrong parts, or charged for work the vehicle doesn't actually need. Diagnostic fee applies toward the repair if you proceed with us.
Automotive Repair
The everyday work — but done diagnostic-first, on every make.
A/C & Climate Control → Compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, blend door actuators, climate control modules, refrigerant leak detection. R-134a and R-1234yf refrigerant equipped. Miami's heat is unforgiving — the "cold at speed, warm at idle" pattern, blend door faults, condenser fan module failures, and evaporator mold from sustained humidity are the patterns we see across every brand. Diagnosed on the factory climate module, not guessed at.
Brakes & Stability System → Pads, rotors, calipers, brake fluid service, ABS diagnostics, electronic parking brake service, stability control and traction control fault diagnosis, wheel speed sensor faults. Many modern vehicles require factory-platform retraction of the electronic parking brake before rear pad service — a step that, if skipped, damages the caliper. We do it correctly across every brand we service.
Engine Repair & Diagnostics → Oil leak diagnosis (including the PCV-separator failure that causes oil consumption with no visible drip), misfire diagnostics, overheating diagnosis, timing chain and timing belt service, head gasket repair, noise and vibration analysis, pre-purchase inspections. We diagnose the cause before quoting the repair — most expensive engine repairs sold in Miami are quoted off codes alone, without confirming what's actually failed.
Suspension Repair → Air suspension service (Land Rover, Range Rover, Volvo XC90, Mercedes, Jeep Grand Cherokee), conventional struts and shocks, control arm and bushing service, four-wheel alignment, anti-roll bar and drop link service, subframe and trailing arm bushings. The Miami climate accelerates suspension bushing wear faster than most service intervals account for — we assess the whole front end on every suspension visit, not just the part that's making noise.
Transmission Service → Factory-spec fluid service across automatic, manual, CVT, dual-clutch, and torque-converter transmissions. Solenoid and valve body diagnostics, mechatronics service, fluid leak diagnosis, shift quality issues. Subaru CVT service is performed with the correct Subaru CVT fluid — generic CVT fluid kills these transmissions and we see it every month. Full rebuild capability on most platforms.
Electrical Diagnostics & No-Start → Warning lights that come and go, no-start and crank-no-start diagnosis, battery and charging system service, parasitic drain diagnosis with proper amp-clamp procedure, module communication faults, immobilizer and key recognition, lighting and CAN bus faults. Includes the Crank No-Start Diagnostics → workflow for vehicles that won't start after parts have already been replaced.
Hybrid & EV
Few Miami independents are certified to safely service high-voltage systems. We are. ASE L3 Advanced Hybrid/Electric Vehicle certification covers the 400-volt battery work, inverter service, regenerative brake systems, electric motor drives, and the safety procedures that the rest of the independent market hasn't trained for.
Hybrid & EV Diagnostics → Full hybrid and PHEV diagnostic capability including Jeep 4xe (Wrangler and Grand Cherokee), Land Rover P400e, Range Rover PHEV, Volvo Recharge T8 (XC90, XC60, S60, S90, V60, XC40), Mazda CX-90 PHEV and CX-70 PHEV, plus Acura, Honda, and Chrysler Pacifica hybrid platforms. High-voltage battery state-of-health assessment for pre-purchase inspections. Battery thermal management — a Miami-specific concern given South Florida's sustained heat on lithium-ion battery cooling.
Maintenance
Scheduled Maintenance & Tune-Ups → Factory-spec oil, fluids, and service intervals for every make, documented for warranty preservation. Acura and Honda Maintenance Minder codes decoded on-site (A1, B127, the whole grid). Subaru EyeSight calibration prep, Volvo CBS service notification handling, Land Rover service light reset, and the factory-spec fluids the manufacturer actually requires — including the correct Subaru CVT fluid, Mazda Skyactiv spec oils, Volvo VIDA-mandated service items, and the right ATF spec for each transmission type. The "we use what the manufacturer says to use" principle.
And We Go Deeper for Five Brands
Every service above runs at full depth on every make. But on five brands — Jeep, Land Rover (including Range Rover), Subaru, Mazda, and Volvo — we go further. Factory-level tooling. Manufacturer-specific training. Deeper parts inventory. The kind of model-by-model failure-mode knowledge that only comes from servicing the same platforms for decades.
If you drive one of these, your service runs at a depth most independents don't attempt:

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of vehicles do you service? Every make on the road. We're a full-service auto repair shop — A/C, brakes, engine, suspension, scheduled maintenance, hybrid, transmission, and advanced diagnostics across European, Japanese, American, and luxury platforms. If you drive it in Miami, we work on it.
Do you specialize in any particular brands? Yes. We go deeper for Jeep, Land Rover, Subaru, Mazda, and Volvo — the five brands where we run the factory diagnostic platforms (wiTECH 2, PATHFINDER, Subaru Select Monitor, Mazda's factory tool, and VIDA), train continuously on those specific vehicles, and stock the parts and tooling to match dealer capability. We service more than 15 brands at the manufacturer level — if we don't service your make, we'll tell you up front.
How much does a diagnostic cost? A standard diagnostic is one hour of the relevant brand's labor rate and covers a manufacturer-level scan, targeted physical testing, and written findings. If you authorize repairs, the diagnostic fee applies toward the repair. Complex multi-system diagnostics may need additional time, quoted before we start.
What's the warranty on your repairs? Two years or 24,000 miles on most diagnostic-led repairs, parts and labor — among the strongest warranties in independent auto repair in Miami.
How fast can I get an appointment? Same-week in almost all cases. For urgent issues — no-start, overheating, brake warning, A/C failure mid-summer — often same-day. Call (305) 444-8881 to confirm availability.
Will having you work on my car void my factory warranty? No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, independent shops can service your vehicle without voiding the factory warranty, as long as we use equivalent parts and procedures. We document everything for your records.
Do you offer financing? Yes. Financing is available for larger repairs — ask at intake.
Habla Español? Sí. Tenemos personal que habla español caribeño nativo.
